    Challenge

    To facilitate self-care

More than 300,000 Danes live with the chronic disease, type 2 diabetes. Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark identified a need for practical solutions for citizens with type 2 diabetes that could help them take care of themselves and manage life with type 2 diabetes. As the disease can be a big part of the citizen’s life, the course would also need to tackle the psychological effects and help increase users’ confidence in dealing with their condition.

    Solution

    Knowledge and tools

In collaboration with Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark, MOCH created the learning project Live Life with Diabetes, which consists of different modules on how to improve the quality of life if you have type 2 diabetes. The course gives citizens knowledge on how they can take care of their body and mind, and it also gives them tools to seek support through networks and healthcare professionals.
